Dan delivers his personal touch whether it is a new bicycle you are looking for, a custom fitting to your current bike, or questions about a specific product. He is the one to help you with your cycling needs. When your bike gets dropped off for service at Victory Velo, you can have confidence that it is being done right. Dan has had over a decade of service experience, from disc brakes, front/rear suspension, Campy and Shimano drive train overhauls.

Dan and Patrice Moores opened Auburn Running Company in February, 2004 shortly after the foothills community proclaimed itself Endurance Capital of the World because of its unique mix of running, equestrian, cycling and triathlon endurance events not found in any other part of the world.
Located in historic downtown Auburn, California, our success is marked by a return to the good old fashioned, hands-on customer service style of shop keeping lost in today’s impersonal, shopping mall-inspired approach to retail. Sit back and relax in our restored movie theater seats with a bag of popcorn while we take personal care to find the best fitting shoe based on your foot type and training requirements. Regardless of whether you are walking for exercise or to help raise money for a cure, training for your first 5K or ultramarathon, or just like wearing running shoes because they feel so darn good, our mission is to find the right fit so you can reach your goals and enjoy the journey.
Instead of just selling shoes, we’re selling an experience by helping our customers stay active and being a positive influence on their lifestyle. Even if you aren’t in the market for a new pair of shoes, you are always welcome to stop by for directions to the nearest trailhead, hang out with our, um, alert security staff Alex and George, or just talk running with June, Ken, Matt or Bob.
